ARBDesign was founded in 2015 by Andrew Bespalov, who brought decades of experience working with top architecture and interior design firms. What started as a one-person venture has since evolved into a dynamic team of talented professionals, each bringing their own creativity and expertise to the table.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of designing and completing projects that we’re truly proud of—spaces that blend beauty, functionality, and a deep understanding of our clients’ visions.

Beyond design, we also specialise in navigating the complexities of planning permits, ensuring a smooth and stress-free approval process for our clients. Our in-depth knowledge of regulations and our strong relationships with local authorities allow us to streamline the process, so projects can move forward with confidence.

Andrew Bespalov - Director.

Andrew Bespalov is the Director of ARBDesign, bringing over 30 years of hands-on experience across a diverse range of construction projects. With a keen eye for detail and a deep passion for design, Andrew has built a reputation for creating spaces that are both functional and inspiring.

As a qualified Building Designer and Registered Building Practitioner, he combines technical expertise with creative vision to bring projects to life. He is also a proud member of the Building Designers Association of Victoria (now Design Matters), staying at the forefront of industry standards, innovation, and best practices. Whether it's a residential dream home or a complex commercial project, Andrew’s experience and commitment ensure every design is thoughtfully crafted and expertly executed.

Jack Pickering - Town Planner

Jack is a qualified Town Planner with extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. Having worked for leading private planning firms as well as within local council, he brings a well-rounded understanding of the planning process from all angles.

At ARBDesign, Jack’s expertise plays a key role in navigating complex planning regulations, securing permits, and ensuring projects move forward smoothly. His in-depth knowledge of planning policies and his strategic approach help transform ideas into approved, buildable realities.

Nimmo Sandilands - Architectural Technician.

Nimmo is a skilled Architectural Technologist with expertise in all stages of project design and documentation. With a strong background in small to medium-scale residential projects, he brings a detail-oriented and solution-focused approach to every design.

Since earning his Bachelor of Architecture in 2008, Nimmo has built a reputation for his technical precision, problem-solving abilities, and commitment to efficient project delivery. Proficient in BIM software and industry standards, he ensures seamless coordination across projects. His passion for turning drawings into reality, combined with his reliability and collaborative mindset, makes him a valuable part of the ARBDesign team.

Alex Dunn - Architectural Technician.

Alex has been a key member of the ARBDesign team for many years, providing essential drafting support across a range of residential projects. With a strong focus on creating clear and accurate drawings, Alex helps bring design concepts to life, ensuring projects are well-documented and ready for progression.

His experience lies primarily in residential design, where he has developed a keen understanding of the unique needs and challenges of this sector. Alex’s ability to work efficiently and consistently makes him a trusted contributor to the team, ensuring projects move smoothly from design to completion.

Tanya Romeo - Office Administrator

Tanya is the glue that holds ARBDesign together, playing a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. She oversees all accounts and office administration while also managing our various permit applications with precision and efficiency.

With extensive experience working with Council, Tanya ensures that every process—whether financial, administrative, or regulatory—works like clockwork. Her attention to detail and dedication make her a key member of our team, allowing projects to progress seamlessly from start to finish.
